The car would decide that now is the time to have head issues. I can't tell if I have a cracked head or have blown the head gasket. I was driving the other day and noticed that the car was getting too hot, it never overheated fully, though. So today I replaced the thermostat. After I finished, I let the car run to determine if I had fixed the overheating issue, only to notice that the car was making oil smelling smoke off the engine block. Look closer, and notice the nice seepage... At least it's not overheating anymore :/

It's not like I can afford to have this fixed right now (which the car isn't worth the amout it would cost to fix it), and I certainly can't get another car. Sharing one car just does not work for longer than 3 days. I just don't know what to do now.

so sorry to hear about this hon, and it is horric timing, n0ot that there is a good time, but it always feels like summer months are a little easier to get around things like this.
