Jonathan is so good to me. We are really low on cash, and the new boss requires head to toe black. Now I oddly enough had a ton of skirts but no black pants. Nor did I have any black shoes that don't have heels. I decided heels were not going to work for this, so I needed some new shoes and at least one pair of black pants and a (non whoreish) black shirt to get me started. I had enough for the pants and the shirt but not the shoes I wanted. Jonathan bought them for me. My feet and I are thanking him!

Also, what kind of fucked up goth am I, that I don't own black pants? I own black shirts, but they are less than decent in anything other than club settings, or they are short sleeved. The new maul I will be working in is a little more strict about the tattoo policy. I don't know about the piercing, but I'll change the nosering to something less obvious. The stretched ears are staying though. It has taken me too long to get them here to take them out now, and I still have two sizes to go. If they bitch, then oh well. M can find someone else to take the position. I am not taking anything out. So there :P

Looking forward to NOMS tomorrow.

Muahahaha. Enforced Corpgoth stylin'! I bet you're totally rocking it. ;D

Hopefully anything they would have seen in the interview wouldn't become a problem if they hired you without mentioning it... That would be more than a bit of a dick move on their part to bring it up after seeing it.

Oh, there was no interview. She ran a kiosk at the other mall I worked at. When I left that job because I moved and didn't want a 45 min commute, she and I were decent friends. When she decided to open the kiosk at the mall closer to me, she called me up to ask if I would work there some. The mall I will be working at enforces their dress code more and they are a bit more snooty. I can handle that, but M is a bit of a flake. I'm not sure she realizes that there might be an issue. For her it isn't one, but mall management might not agree with her completely on that! The only thing I can do is make it as little of an issue as possible. The hair might become one, but covering the red becomes a pain in the ass, and after I spend so much time getting it right, I don't particularly want to cover it anyway.

The black is from her previous incarnation as a regional manager for Aveda. A lot of the higher end salons here do the all black thing, and one of the local salons will have a kiosk close to ours. She said "I would rather die than let them see any of my employees in jeans and a tee shirt". I kind of see her point. The other mall was more ghetto, so no one cared there. We'll see. She'll be there for my first couple of hours. If there is a problem we should know by then.

That makes more sense. In my area, it'd be Briarwood vs. Twelve Oaks. XD

Her fashion sense/employee chic makes complete sense and is made of awesome. I wish they'd done the color coordination fully when I worked at LL-- all they ended up changing was making it so that we could only wear black and white, and only black shoes. My old manager learned in a hurry that if she wore white dress shirts on a cloudy day then she'd better be damn sure to bring an extra in a bag, because it would inevitably rain!

I seem to range between a 14 and an 18 depending on who makes it. My favorite pair of jeans are 14 but the pants I bought for the new job are 16, and some stuff I have tried on a 16 is snug. I have got to lose weight. It's on the list. I think I will have to start in December.

We do need coffee. I miss you!

Piercings

As a manager, I try not to be influenced as much by piercings. I have enough of my own to not look poorly upon others for them. Most of mine are discreet as well as all tattoos being easily covered. I do not think I would be in my current position if it were otherwise.

Piercings aren't as much of an interest to me as tattoos. I have my nose pierced and my ears have 5 in one 4 in the other. The ears are only obvious because all of them are stretched a little. Two sets of the holes will be stretched a little more, but not obnoxiously so.
I only have the one tattoo so far, but plan on adding many more. All will be easily covered with at least elbow length sleeves.
My boss isn't so much the problem. The mall is a slightly snobby one, and the management of the mall might have a problem with the nose. I am guessing the hair would piss them off more, but oh well.
