Doctor's visit.

pandorablueAt least this one was not taking place in the ER or in the Peds Urgent Care. It was just his routine 6 month visit. He got a flu vaccine. I love his Doctor, Dr. Emily MacDonald. She is absolutely incredible and sweet. She does clinic at Carrie Tingley on Fridays and I believe she works UNMH Peds on other days. She and I are able to have good conversations about Little Human's health and well being without me feeling like a bad mom or her being condescending. She wanted me to take him to the Dentist, which hasn't quite happened yet, but she wasn't upset with me. She understood why it hadn't happened yet. We commiserated about husbands...
She is concerned about his weight. He has lost weight since the visit in February but gotten 4 inches taller (2'10" WOOT). I know it is all from the cold and the ear infection. He simply would not eat, and I don't want to make food into an issue. My dad did that with me and now I am fat and unhappy about it. She gave me some ideas on fattening him up, even when he won't eat.
She and I are still a little concerned about his speech, but since starting daycare he has picked up more. His new favorite is "Hey Duuuude". We discussed that it may just be that I coddle him too much and he doesn't need to speak. Just to be sure, I have info on some early intervention places.
They all commented on his huge feet. They are huge. I have to buy him new sneakers. He will be in a size 8 toddlers. Jonathan wears size 13, so I don't know why anyone is surprised. When he grows two more inches he will be half Jonathan's height. I don't think we have much longer to wait for that, and he is only 2 years and 2 months old. I feel like i am carrying around a lead filled octopus most of the time. I love my Lead Filled Octopus (Little Human will stay, just because typing out Lead Filled Octopus everytime will get so old).
I also got a prescription for Miralax! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! You have no idea how his butt issues were concerning me. (Yeah, TMI, Deal with it)
