Well, shit
I got my first ticket today. I got it for not having proof of registration. I got it while on my way to the MVD to get my car registered. I finally made it to MVD to be told that I needed to get the insurance straightened out. I had to call Jonathan to come get me and take me down to Abq. I had to leave the car in the MVD parking lot, because I don't think I could have handled multiple tickets. The car is now registered, and I have insurance. Except for the ticket, I guess it all worked out ok.
Jonathan told me that I should take the van today, and I told him that it should be fine since I had the bill of sale and the title in my purse. I thought that since it hadn't been 30 days since I purchased it, I was covered by the paperwork. Shows what I know.
{EDIT}: I posted this last night, pretty much after the chance of him calling me back was gone. He told me yesterday that if I got it registered by the end of the day, and I gave him proof of that, the ticket would *go away*...
He called this morning at 8:30 and I gave him the plate number and he told me to tear up the citation. I honestly didn't think that he would call me back, so I was just bugged by the entire situation. I knew I would be stressed until the court date, but now I don't have to worry about it. :D

you might want to call the court to make sure the appearance was cancelled. bureaucracies can jumble things up sometimes.
