My favorite present this holiday season was the dutch oven, which I discovered today will definitely have to go back. It had two small chips on the rim, which I might have been able to work around. However, while looking at it, I also discovered that it has a bubble on the bottom that has a small pinhole. So it is not usable. They have also gone up in price since mom ordered it, and I now can't replace it. Oh well, at least we'll have a little extra money for groceries or something this month.

as long as the item itself hasn't changed significantly, they legally have to replace it, even if the price has changed.

Aha. Good to know. The other funky is that it was ordered from Walmart.com, and to gt another it also has to be shipped. I am just reluctant to have another sent, since there is no guarantee that it will arrive undamaged. I won't keep doing this over and over. I think we are going to poke around town and see if we can't find one that I can open and look at before it comes home with us.

That looks so funny... "Cow check"!

seriously. go to the store and tell them they need to get you a new one. walmart has a ship-to-the-store-pick-up-there option and that's less likely to involve damage in transit as it's on their trucks the way they bring in their own inventory....

and, yes, they legally have to replace defective stuff regardless of any price difference.

We asked for reorder or exchange, but they said that since they don't carry it in the store, they were just going to refund it. Didn't refund the shipping though. But that was only 97cents

sad. used to be you could have anything on the website delivered to a specific store.

You can for most things still, but if something is wrong with it, they don't give you the option of exchange. It kinda sucks.

stupid. they messed up, they should fix it. *sigh*
