This is probably not going to come as a shock to anyone, but here is the deal:

Jonathan and I are not together as a couple anymore. We still care for each other very much, but we just can't seem to make each other happy. We still cohabitate and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Think of us as the new Berney and Roxanne - the people in my immediate circle know what I am talking about. We still hang out and do stuff together because we are very good friends.

We are trying very hard to make this as easy as possible for each other and for Little Human. There are many reasons that I am unable to move out right now, but I don't feel the need to explain myself to anyone in this post. If anyone that doesn't know wants to, message me, and I will tell you. This is the best we can do right now, and it is currently working. Adjustments may be necessary in the future, but for now we are both at least pacified.

I appreciate all of the support we have both received during this upheaval. I have discovered who I can count on when things go awry and I have found some new friends to turn to. Thank you.

Hey!

I still have 8 coupons for $10 of an LJ paid subscription. Comment here if you want one!
LJ's holiday promotion this year works like this:

I am a paid member. As such, I have 10 coupons to hand out to non paid members for $10 off. You will either pay $9.95 with automatic payments or $15 for a one time manual payment (instead of $19.95 or $25 respectively). I have 10 coupons and want to offer them to my peeps first before I whore them out to a comm somewhere...

Comment if you want one!

Also, I should point out that it doesn't matter to me how well I know you. If you want it, you will get it, as long as I still have coupons to give.

I have to admit that unlike everyone fussing about this, it doesn't bother me so much. I would prefer to be able to buy accounts for the people I love that want them, but I can't afford that. I figure this makes it easier for anyone that may have a hard time justifying $20-25 for something but $10-15 maybe isn't so bad.

Do it for the icons. THEY NEED YOU!!!
Walmart stocks Hard Candy makeup. This may be old news, but I haven't been in the cosmetics section in a long time since I don't need any more makeup right now. Well, I didn't before Wally World started stocking Hard Candy. *drool*

YAY!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there!
pandorablue: (Rawr!!!)
This has happened to a few of my favorite groups and some friends favorite groups. So now a nice little Public Announcement:

If one of the comms you belong to all of a sudden has a Moderator Post that says they are closing the comm and links you to an outside source,

DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS!!!

It is a hack. I have heard varying things of what it does, anywhere between it is a keylogger to it is a virus. Not sure if it is related, but I ended up having to wipe my hard drive shortly after I clicked on one of these links because I had a really nasty rootkit that couldn't be removed (like I said, could be unrelated, but it was odd timing).

The hacker is taking over and changing passwords to the Mod's email address tied to the LJ Comm.

1- DO NOT CLICK ON THEM.
2- EMAIL OTHER MODS, PM OTHER MODS, CALL OTHER MODS IF YOU KNOW THEM PERSONALLY. LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT (other mods of the comm if there are any).
3- REPORT THE ENTRY TO LJ (CLICK ON THE FLAG BUTTON)
4- DON'T CLICK LINKS!!!

If you do happen to click the links, run a virus scan immediately!!!!

Here is the screencap of what the post may look like:

Also: Please cross post to save others the hassle of clicking the damn links.

I just thought of something that some of you might be having issues with (I know it was making me nuts). If you get a shitload of credit card offers in the mail, look into *optoutpreescreen.com*. It is like the Do Not Call list for credit card companies. It took about a month for it to completely kick in, but it has been about two months since I got a credit card offer. Not to mention that everytime you get one of those "YOU ARE PRE APPROVED" notices, they have actually accessed your credit report (I discovered this by accident while checking my credit report). I signed up for the 5 year, because I was just impatient and didn't want to do the mail in lifetime program. It's easy, and it did work. It makes checking my mail box a little less frustrating, and my shredder a little bit more happy!

{EDIT} I just realized exactly how spammish this sounded without me meaning it to. I am serious, though. Go there, it works, it rocks.

This is a little late, I didn't think to post it sooner:

AM TO 11 PM ON SUNDAY

Albuquerque' s oldest independently owned coffeehouse and
original live music venue is at very real risk of closing
down! The Blue Dragon provides to the community of
Albuquerque a real home to off-beat and avant-garde music
art and dance from around the block and around the country
and around the world, and it serves as a real gathering
place for many local community groups. The loss of The
Blue Dragon would a real blow to our community.

BENEFIT PERFORMERS WILL INCLUDE: FAST HEART MART, RICH
KRUEGER, THE OLD MAIN, CLIDE VS CROCODILES, THE ZOLTAN
TRIO, ALADOCIOUS, SCOTT HELLAND AND THE TRAVELING BAND OF
GYPSIES, THE MINIE GONZALES BAND, CAROL SPIZMAN, MARK
WEAVER, PETER CHASE, DANCE TAHITI, AND MANY OTHERS SPECIAL
GUESTS

SUGGESTED DONATIONS FOR THE BENEFIT ARE FROM $5 to $10 at
the door.

The Blue Dragon is located at 1517 Girard NE at Indian
School

The Blue Dragon has free-Wifi, pool table, and live music
with a great P.A. 7 nights a week! They recycle and
compost their waste and provide a safe place for kids and
teens to hang out. The food and coffees are so delicious,
grown ups like it too! There are board games, and a
library of books to read and exchange.
If you value Albuquerque' s underground D.I.Y. culture and
the spirit of non-chain-store anti-Starbuck' s independent
business, PLEASE show your support during this difficult
time for our beloved Dragon!
Get a pastry and coffee or tea in the morning, they open
at 7AM! Get a slice of pizza or a bowl of vegan soup and
an Italian soda for lunch, or try their incredible
Saturday or Sunday brunch ... always with live music! Drop
by for a wrap or some excellent Louisiana style red beans
and rice and an organic salad for dinner with an espresso
and a slice of gorgeous coconut carrot cake or
strawberry-rhubarb- peach pie or a vegan chocolate mousse!
Come by for Monday Night Live Variety Show, Wednesday
Night Open Mic or any evening for Live Local, Regional and
National original musical acts!
We can't let this little jewel roll down the gutter!
PLEASE! For all that is quaint and charming and REAL!
No one except Jonathan will care about this... )
